Transport networks moving Zimbabwe forward

An MDC government will rehabilitate current road networks which are in bad state and poses real danger to all road users. An MDC government will construct new road and rail networks with a special attention on resettlement areas, other farming areas, rural areas and tourist resorts.

An MDC government will pay special attention to the improvement of public transport services to the people and will maintain a strict code that raises the quality and safety of both public and private transport.

An MDC government will promote private sector investment in public transport service and in line with the global standards.

An MDC government will rehabilitate and transform all government transport in all  government institutions and will ensure the institutions effectively and efficiently serve Zimbabwe.

Freedom to say it as is with nothing to hide,

An MDC government will work for an environment that offers freedom to inform, educate and entertain freedom of speech, expression, to know and access to information, and an open flow of information without any prejudice to any group of individual.

An MDC government will ensure the development of modern and state of the art communication equipment that ensures reliability and efficiency in the communications industry and will also ensure current equipment are refurbished and out dated equipment is relegated.

An MDC government will ensure the people’s freedoms with regards to communications and expression are guaranteed and will ensure information is used to the benefits of the nation not as a tool of manipulating the weak, poor and the disadvantage.

An MDC government will ensure information is harnessed to enhance education of the people on crucial matters, people participation in governance issues and enhancing transparency in all the operations of the nation.

An MDC government will strengthen government information collection and distribution systems and will enact laws that are friendly to preservation of fundamental freedoms of any means of communications including guaranteeing freedom of the media and press, allowing competition in the communications sector.

An MDC government will promote private sector investment in information and communication technology and the establishment of communications centers, including Radio and TV stations, newspapers etc.

An MDC government will ensure expansion of communications broadband, capacity and protect the consumers against unscrupulous activities from service providers.
