Honourable Maramwidze Hamandishe, the Gutu North Member of the House of Assembly has castigated the appalling behaviour of Chief Chitsa who is forcing Gutu villagers to join Zanu PF structures.

Chief Chitsa had on Tuesday rounded up villagers from Chivasa, Magombedze and Musara communal areas and forced them to join Zanu PF structures at cell level as he threatened whoever opposed such a backward move with unspecified action in the area.

“I am shocked by the behaviour of the chief who continues to align himself with Zanu PF and intimidating his subjects,” said Hon Hamandishe. Public institutions are being used to prop up Mugabe and his party ahead of the constitutional referendum and the forthcoming elections.

In another development, the MDC will hold a rally at Maungwa Business Centre tomorrow. The provincial leadership is expected to attend.
